7 Necessary elements you need for a successful website

Let me guess, you’ve been telling yourself “I need a website” for about six months now. Maybe longer. You’ve bookmarked seventeen articles about building websites, watched half of a YouTube tutorial, and then got distracted by a video of a cat riding a Roomba… I’ve been there… Lol
I get it. The whole website thing feels massive, overwhelming, and frankly a bit terrifying when you’re not a tech person. It’s like someone handed you IKEA furniture instructions written in Swedish… except you don’t speak Swedish… and half the pieces are missing.
But here’s the truth… You’re overthinking it.
After 15+ years building websites and helping business owners get online, I can tell you that most people make this WAY more complicated than it needs to be. So let’s strip away the confusion and get you sorted.
When you start googling “how to build a website,” you get hit with a tsunami of information:

The problem isn’t you. The problem is that the internet loves to overcomplicate things. Everyone’s trying to sound like an expert, so they throw around jargon that makes building a website sound like launching a space shuttle.

Stop. Just… stop.
When you’re starting out, you need THREE pages. That’s it. Three.
This is where you clearly explain:
That’s it. No fancy animations. No auto-playing video of you talking about your “journey.” Just clear, simple messaging that makes someone think, “Oh, this is exactly what I need.”
People buy from people. This page is where you prove you’re a real human who understands their problems. Share:
Skip the corporate jargon. Write like you’re chatting to a mate at the pub. Be real. Be relatable. Be you.
Seriously, you’d be shocked how many websites make it nearly impossible to actually get in touch. Don’t be that person.
Include:
Bonus points if you tell people what to expect: “I’ll get back to you within 24 hours” or “Fill this in and let’s chat about how I can help.”
You can add those later. Honestly.
Right now, you need a website that exists. A simple, clean, professional website that tells people what you do and how to contact you. That’s infinitely better than no website at all (or a half-finished website you’ve been “working on” for eight months).
Once you’ve got those three core pages live, you can add more. But don’t let “I need to add everything” stop you from launching something.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me when I started: your website doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to be good enough to do its job, which is to make you look credible and give people a way to contact you.
You can tweak it later. You can add pages later. You can change the colours, the fonts, the photos later. But you can’t get customers from a website that doesn’t exist.
Done is better than perfect. Always.
